SUMMARY:Fostering Inclusive Education for All Learners
DESCRIPTION:Register Now\n\n\n\nThe Fostering Inclusive Education for All Learners Conference will happen on March 22nd\, 2025\, at the ECU Student Center from noon until 6:00 PM. This event\, co-sponsored by The Dudley Flood Center and the ECU College of Education Culture\, Opportunity\, and Engagement Committee\, will bring educators\, students\, and community members together to explore strategies that create supportive and inclusive learning environments for all learners. \n\n\n\nThe conference will feature some of ECU’s faculty as speakers\, including Dr. Karen Jones\, Dr. Tanya Christ\, Dr. Robin Harris\, and Dr. Allison Fears. Our keynote speaker is the renowned and inspiring Dr. Catherine Compton-Lilly\, whose expertise and insights will leave a lasting impact on all attendees. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nBreakout Sessions Aligned with These Strands:\n\n\n\n✅ Understanding and Embracing a Culture of Care – Practical classroom approaches to create safe\, welcoming spaces that empower every student. \n\n\n\n✅ Mental Health Awareness in Schools – Strategies for supporting student mental wellness through trauma-sensitive practices\, social-emotional learning\, and collaboration. \n\n\n\n✅ Supporting Educators – Tools for professional growth and well-being to equip teachers and school leaders in meeting the diverse needs of students. \n\n\n\n✅ Community Partnerships for Inclusive Education – How schools and communities can collaborate to enhance opportunities for all learners. \n\n\n\nWhether you are a student\, educator\, community member\, faculty\, or staff\, we encourage you to join us.
