DESCRIPTION:2024 Equity in Education Summit hosted by\nWestern Carolina University’s College of Education and Allied Professions.\nThis year’s theme is Reclaiming Joy in Our Schools! At this two-day gathering\, educators\, and\neducational scholars from the western region of North Carolina and beyond will share the ways in which\nthey are reclaiming and cultivating joy through equitable practices. We also aim to build and strengthen\npartnerships among our region’s education community members to better meet the needs of ALL our\nstudents\, families\, and educators.\nEach day begins with an inspirational keynote address from nationally recognized scholars\, Dr. Gholdy Muhammad and Dr. Annelise Singh.
