SUMMARY:SMFANC Community Advocacy Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Join us\, Tuesday\, August 4th at 6:00 pm via Zoom for an engaging discussion on a critical issue impacting families across North Carolina: Rising School Meal Prices. This month’s community advocacy working group meeting will be all about an open dialogue\, so we can work together to develop and refine messaging and talking points! Both school nutrition teams and student families have stories to share about how School Meals for All would help them thrive compared to the current struggle to match rising costs of food and more. We invite you to work with us to build the messages that resonate most about this issue. As we discuss how meal cost increases are affecting school districts and local communities and share personal stories\, we will hold space to workshop talking points together. Whether you’re a parent\, educator\, or community advocate\, your voice and insight are essential to this meeting. No preparation needed\, just come ready to connect\, collaborate\, and strategize.
