About the Organization

Mission

The mission of the Environmental Educators of North Carolina is to build connections, provide professional development, and promote excellence for North Carolina's community of environmental educators.

Services

EENC wants to change our world by:
-Providing professional development and networking for educators. We host a conference, a mini-conference, and section events across the state.
-Diversifying the field of EE. We want everyone to feel welcome in environmental education. Some of our strategies include resource development, intentional partnerships, inclusion scholarships, and trainings.
-Bringing together like-minded organizations to increase capacity. We collaborate with state offices and agencies, non-profits, and businesses, bringing these groups together for events, advocacy and shared initiatives.
-Promoting excellence in environmental education. We offer training on the Guidelines for Excellence, recognize success through an annual awards program, and provide mini-grants.
