About the Organization

Mission

Advance K-12 Education by providing educators with relevant, real-world professional learning and leadership development, through innovative collaborations with partners committed to building community and workforce preparation.

Services

Our Diversity in Leadership fellowship funded by the Burroughs Welcome Fund provided two highly qualified teacher leaders this year with an opportunity to intern with Dr. Stephanie Helms Pickett at the NCSU Office of Institutional Equity and Diversity, WE ARE (Working to Extend Anti-Racist Education) with Dr. Ronda Bullock, and Alfred Mays at the BWF to create new Professional Development focused on diversity, as well as create some basic procedures that programs across the state like the Kenan Fellows Program can utilize to make sure their accessibility, application process, and interview questions are inclusive of all educators. The fellows have also visited local companies to meet with VPs of Diversity and Inclusion to get an understanding of K-12, university, and industry practices.
