Beyond North Carolina

“I didn’t get into education for a tour of duty. I got into education for the duration. Until all the problems are solved, I am going to be in education. I’m going to be doing something that makes it better for somebody every day that I live, and I promise you that.”

Dr. Dudley E. Flood

Dr. Flood used his experiences and academic expertise to lecture and consult with communities and groups both domestically and internationally, raising awareness of educational inequities and rights. He has spoken in all 100 counties of North Carolina and conducted workshops in 48 of the 50 U.S. states, as well as in Bermuda, Washington, D.C., Canada, and Germany. His work has been published in over 25 journals, and he is the author of three books.
