The Flood Center brings together diverse stakeholders to build an education system that meets the social, emotional, and academic needs of all NC students. Volunteers play a vital role in supporting our programs and events—join us in creating equitable opportunities for every student.

Flood Center Volunteer Opportunities

Are you passionate about addressing issues of systemic inequities by building an education system that meets the social, emotional, and academic needs of NC’s diverse student population? Are you looking for more ways to get involved and learn more about the education arena in North Carolina? The Flood Center hosts a number of programs and initiatives that bring diverse stakeholders together to further its vision of creating an education system that provides every student in North Carolina with access to equitable opportunities and resources. Volunteers help the Flood Center realize this vision by providing support at programming and events. We welcome you to join us in our efforts to serve every student.

My child is permitted to participate as a volunteer at the Dudley Flood Center for Educational Equity and Opportunity. I understand that this role may involve tasks related to educational outreach, event coordination, and other center-based activities. I also understand that my child may be contacted directly by the center for coordination, training, and volunteer-related communication.

By giving my consent I acknowledge and agree to the following:

Voluntary Participation: I understand that participation is voluntary, and my child may withdraw from volunteering at any time with prior notice to the center.

Supervision and Safety: I acknowledge that the center will take appropriate measures to ensure my child’s safety during volunteer activities. However, I understand that it is my responsibility to ensure my child has adequate supervision and support as needed.

Release of Liability: I agree to hold the Dudley Flood Center harmless for any injuries or accidents that may occur during my child’s participation in volunteer activities, except in cases of gross negligence or intentional harm.

Communication: I give permission for the Dudley Flood Center to contact me and/or my child via email, phone, or other means for volunteer-related matters.

Photo Release

I hereby grant the Dudley Flood Center (Flood Center) permission to use my likeness in a photograph, video, or other digital media (“photo”) in any and all of its publications, including web-based publications, without payment or other consideration.

I understand and agree that all photos are the property of the Flood Center and will not be returned.

I hereby irrevocably authorize the Flood Center to edit, alter, copy, exhibit, publish, or distribute these photos for any lawful purpose. In addition, I waive any right to inspect or approve the finished product wherein my likeness appears. Additionally, I waive any right to royalties or other compensation arising or related to the use of the photo.
I hereby hold harmless, release, and forever discharge the Flood Center from all claims, demands, and causes of action which I, my heirs, representatives, executors, administrators, or any other persons acting on my behalf or on behalf of my estate have or may have by reason of this authorization.
