As an educator, administrator, and advocate, Dr. Flood is a critical and influential leader in the push for educational equity. His work receives well-deserved recognition, with many eager to honor him for his heroic accomplishments and decisions that pave the way for today’s students and future generations. As a result, Dr. Flood has received over 350 awards for his dedicated service.

He remains actively involved in various community organizations and serves on several boards, proudly representing his commitment to education and equity. He is also a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., and has been a devoted Sunday school teacher at Martin Street Baptist Church for over 44 years. His impactful work and unwavering commitment have garnered recognition and appreciation locally and beyond.
