DAYS LEFT TO HELP US MAKE HISTORY

On May 15, 2025 the Flood Center and the Flood Group honored the life and on-going legacy of a North Carolina icon—Dr. Dudley E. Flood at the Lifetime Achievement Award Benefit. A trailblazer in public education, a unifier of communities, and a fierce advocate for equity, Dr. Flood’s unwavering commitment to justice has changed the lives of generations of students and educators. His service to our state and nation has spanned nearly a century, and his legacy continues to shape our work.

The 94 Years Strong Campaign pays tribute to Dr. Flood’s extraordinary impact—from desegregating schools in the aftermath of Brown v. Board of Education to advancing civil discourse and equity-centered leadership across the country. We celebrate 94 years of excellence, driven by faith, service, and an unrelenting belief in possibility.

Dr. Flood’s legacy reminds us that “the greatest motivator is possibility… we’re not there yet. We will get there, but we will only do that if we keep the faith and believe that there is a destination.”

Join us in honoring this living legend by making a gift in an increment of 94—whether it’s $94, $940, or more—to support the Dudley Flood Center and the Flood Group’s missions to advance equity across North Carolina and beyond. Together, we carry forward Dr. Flood’s vision of a world where every child—regardless of background—has the opportunity to thrive.
