Color of Education

Bringing together educators, policymakers, researchers, students, parents, community members, and other key stakeholders advance access and opportunity by eliminating racial disparities in education.

Preserving Our Legacy:
The Power of the Stories We Carry

Color of Education 2025 highlighted the belief that legacy is not only preserved in history books or institutions—it lives in the stories we carry and share. Educators, students, and communities hold powerful narratives that reflect struggle, resilience, joy, and growth. These stories help us understand identity, build collective purpose, and spark transformational change—critical components of an equitable public education system and a healthy democracy.
