The Duke Center for Child and Family Policy invites you to a conference focused on promoting positive outcomes for families with young children by building universal early childhood systems and policies that promote equity and support healthy development. This two-day conference, The Next Step in Early Childhood Policy: Creating a Universal System of Care for Families with Young Children, features a national, virtual convening on April 12 and an in-person North Carolina-focused event on April 13.

On April 12, we will hear from experts across the country discuss the types of systems, policies, programs, and workforce needed to support and promote the well-being of young children and their families. Featured speakers include Deborah Daro, Chapin Hall; Iheoma Iruka, The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill; Aisha Ray, The BUILD Initiative; and Patricia Cole, Zero To Three. Click here for more information on the national online conference, including an agenda and registration link.

Continue the conversation with a focus on North Carolina on April 13. This in-person event will be held at Duke University in Durham. State and community leaders will describe efforts to promote universal, equitable, coordinated systems and policies to support families with young children and discuss what steps are needed to advance this goal at both the state and local levels.
