Book Harvest provides an abundance of books and ongoing literacy support to families and their children from birth and serves as a model for communities committed to ensuring that children are lifelong readers and learners.Services
Book Harvest provides an abundance of books and literacy support to families and their children from birth; we aspire to help every child fall in love with reading. Since 2011, Book Harvest has provided 1.7 million books to children and a wide array of literacy supports to parents.
Initiatives include: Book Babies, a home visiting program providing families with books and literacy support from the moment their baby is born; Book Boxes, outdoor boxes placed in community spaces and regularly filled with children’s books; and Books on Break, sending young students home for the summer with armloads of books.
