About the Organization

Mission

Village of Wisdom aims to close the academic opportunity gap by protecting the intellectual curiosity and positive racial self-concept of Black children through the love and wisdom of their families and communities.

Services

Village of Wisdom (VOW) provides professional learning experiences for educators, education leaders in integrating the Black Genius Framework into instructional strategies and institutional commitments. VOW provides community-driven empowerment learning experiences (based on the Black Genius Framework) that increase the capacity of caregivers, parents of Black learners to co-lead research, advocacy, and to be reflective partners to educators and education leaders. VOW organizes cultural programs that affirm the positive racial identity of Black learners through cultural arts, expressions.
